Alleghany Corporation, incorporated in Delaware in 1984, is the successor company to Alleghany Corporation, a Maryland corporation, which was founded in 1929. Through TransRe, a wholly-owned Alleghany subsidiary since March 2012, we are engaged in the property and casualty reinsurance business.
