The exclusions will be reinstated from October 12, 2021, and extended through December 31, 2022.
The tariffs on China--worth $300 billion--were imposed after an investigation revealed that China had stolen intellectual property from U.S. companies.
Last month, U.S. lawmakers had said that the scope of the exclusions being considered was too narrow. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce had asked that the duty exclusions be reinstated and the scope of the exemption process broadened.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that China hopes the U.S. will scrap all tariffs on its goods after the U.S. reinstated 352 product exclusions from China tariffs.
Commerce ministry spokeswoman Shu Jueting said that such action was beneficial and hoped bilateral trade relations would get back on a normal track.
