UN expects over 8 million refugees from Ukraine this year

The UN's refugee agency (UNHCR), says it now expects 8.3 million people to depart Ukraine this year, up from its previous estimate.
In the last two months after Russia started its full-fledged invasion on February 24, the war has dislocated more than 12.7 million people, with more than 5 million fleeing as refugees across borders and 7.7 million still displaced within the nation, UNHCR spokeswoman Shabia Mantoo said.
Almost 13 million additional people are expected to be trapped in impacted areas or prevented from leaving owing to security concerns.
