Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ: MSFT) on Monday launched new cybersecurity services for its clients to help organizations prevent ransomware attacks.
The company launched three products including Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting, Microsoft Defender Experts for XDR and Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise.
“Microsoft is uniquely positioned to help our customers and their partners meet today’s security challenges. We secure devices, identities, apps, and clouds—the fundamental fabric of our customers’ lives—with the full scale of our comprehensive multicloud, multiplatform solutions,” said Vasu Jakkal, a Microsoft corporate vice president focused on security.
Many organizations have been the victim of cyberattacks recently. Microsoft, which has a security business of $15 billion annually, has increased its investment in the section in 2021.
In Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting, the tech company will help finding issues in clients’ devices, Office 365 productivity software installations, cloud applications and identity programs. The product costs $3 per person per month.
Microsoft Defender Experts for XDR, which costs $14 per person per month, is for customers who need to extend the capacity of their security operations center. It is an extended detection and response (XDR) that helps companies take action on threats.
The third product, which is Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise, offers more comprehensive, high-touch managed services from Microsoft experts.
