• In late April, the FAA assessment was postponed to May 31
The Federal Aviation Administration on Tuesday delayed completing the final environmental assessment of the proposed SpaceX Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy rocket program.
The FAA assessment, which in late April was postponed to May 31, has again been delayed until June 13.
In April, FAA said that SpaceX has made several changes in its application and therefore required additional analysis.
FAA also said on Tuesday that the program which is based in Boca Chica, Texas can have an impact on migratory birds, endangered species and a nearby wildlife refuge.
SpaceX, which is founded by Elon Musk, said that Starship is designed for voyages to the moon and Mars and is expected to be launched in 2023.
