Russian missile hit a nine-story apartment building in the Black Sea city of Odesa early Friday, killing at least 17 people and injuring others, said local authorities.
“The number of injured as a result of a strike on a multi-story apartment building has now risen to 30, including three children. Rescue operations continue” Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for the Odesa regional administration said on his Telegram channel.
According to Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs, a second missile that targeted Odesa's Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi area killed three people and injured another one.
The second missile struck a recreation center's three- and four-story buildings, the ministry said in a tweet.
“Sincere condolences to the families of those killed in the rocket attack in the Odesa region,” Bratchuk said. “The terrorist organization ‘Russia must answer for all crimes.”
