World Wrestling Entertainment Inc (NYSE: WWE) on Monday disclosed Vince McMahon paid $14.6 million in unrecorded expenses, $2.6 million more than the sum reported earlier.
McMahon on Friday announced he was retiring as the company’s chief executive and chairman, a month after WWE board said it was investigating sexual misconduct allegations against him.
“The Company has also received, and may receive in the future, regulatory, investigative and enforcement inquiries, subpoenas or demands arising from, related to, or in connection with these matters,” the company said in a SEC filing on Monday.
According to a Wall Street Journal report, McMahon had agreed to pay more than $12 million to four women over the past 16 years to suppress allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity.
