Pfizer Inc (NYSE: PFE) on Thursday topped Wall Street estimates, amid high sales of its Covid-19 vaccine and its antiviral treatment Paxlovid.
The pharma company posted its largest quarterly sales on record as its revenue increased 47% to $27.7 billion. Pfizer’s net income surged 78% to $9.9 billion in the second quarter.
Covid-19 vaccine of the company brought in $8.8 billion in revenue, while sales of Paxlovid totaled $8.1 billion.
Pfizer stuck to its prior 2022 sales guidance for the vaccine of $32 billion and $22 billion for Paxlovid.
