Bitcoin surpassed $24,000 on Friday, its highest in more than six weeks as the cryptocurrency has been rallying since the Federal Reserve hiked rates but signaled that the pace of such rises could slow.
Bitcoin rallied 26.8% in July, recording its best month since October and the first positive month in four.
On Friday, Bitcoin reached $24,412, a six-week high, to finally settle below $24,000 by the end of the session. The cryptocurrency climbed 4.8% this week.
