Bunge: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Bunge Ltd. (BG) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $380 million.

The St. Louis-based company said it had profit of $2.49 per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs and non-recurring costs, were $3.45 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.44 per share.

The agribusiness and food company posted revenue of $16.76 billion in the period.

Bunge expects full-year earnings to be $13.50 per share.

Bunge shares have decreased 1.5% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 4% in the last 12 months.
