DENVER (AP) _ PDC Energy Inc. (PDCE) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $798 million.
On a per-share basis, the Denver-based company said it had profit of $8.30. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $3.77 per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $4.13 per share.
The independent oil and gas company posted revenue of $1.51 billion in the period, surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.06 billion.
