EVERETT, Wash. (AP) _ Fortive Corp. (FTV) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $227.2 million.
The Everett, Washington-based company said it had net income of 64 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 88 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 84 cents per share.
The industrial conglomerate posted revenue of $1.53 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.5 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $755.2 million, or $2.10 per share. Revenue was reported as $5.83 billion.
For the current quarter ending in March, Fortive expects its per-share earnings to range from 71 cents to 74 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $1.4 billion to $1.44 billion for the fiscal first quarter.
Fortive expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.25 to $3.40 per share, with revenue ranging from $5.95 billion to $6.1 billion.
