Canadian Solar: Q1 Earnings Snapshot

ONTARIO, Ontario (AP) — ONTARIO, Ontario (AP) — Canadian Solar Inc. (CSIQ) on Thursday reported first-quarter profit of $83.7 million.
The Ontario, Ontario-based company said it had profit of $1.19 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 48 cents per share.
The solar wafers manufacturer posted revenue of $1.7 billion in the period, which matched Street forecasts.
