Amplify Energy Corp. (AMPY) has appointed Vidisha Pras ad to the Board of Directors, the company said in an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Prasad joins the company as a member of the Audit Committee, the Amplify Energy board has said in a press release.
Amplify Energy stock closed Friday at $7.39 up $0.26 after hitting a high of $7.39 in intraday trade.
Prasad brings in more than two decades of experience in energy investments, strategic and board advisory, corporate mergers, asset acquisitions and divestitures, capital markets and restructuring, the company says.
Prasad is currently managing partner of Adya Partners, a multi-strategy investment firm focused on private secondary investments and early-stage venture capital in the energy, energy transition and technology sectors.
Before founding Adya Partners, Prasad was a founding member of Guggenheim Securities’ Energy Investment Banking practice and prior to that, Prasad held roles of increasing responsibility within Citi’s Global Energy Investment Banking Groups in Houston, London and New York, according to the press release.
Prasad previously served on the Board of Centennial Resources (now Permian Resources) where she served on the Audit, Nominating, Governance and ESG Committees. She also serves on the Board of the Grammy award-winning, Houston Chamber Choir, where she chairs the Development Committee.
Prasad received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Rochester.

Hamm said Vidisha’s wealth of experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in M&A, capital markets and finance, will be of significant value to Amplify.
The Company has also announced that Randal T. Klein has decided not to seek reelection as a director at the Company’s 2024 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the “2024 Annual Meeting”). Klein will continue to serve for the remainder of his term as a director until the 2024 Annual Meeting.
