King Charles of the United Kingdom to step away from public duties amid cancer diagnosis
In a statement released by Buckingham Palace
"During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.
His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual."
King Charles had a recent surgery that removed him from public duties and had him stay a short while in hospital. The Palace has noted that His Magisties discolousure of his diagnosis was to prevent speculation amoung the public as to The Kings health and to promote public understading about Cancer.
The Palace will provide update should they be neccssary in the future about the health of the Monarch.
