Mitchell J. Krebs

Mitchell J. Krebs is President and Chief Executive Officer of Coeur Mining, Inc.(CDE)a leading U.S.-based silver producer and

one of the country’s largest producers of gold. The Company employs over 2,100 people globally.

The Company operates five precious metals mines located throughout the Americas: the Palmarejo silvergold mine in Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska, and the San Bartolomé silver mine in Bolivia. In addition, the Company has various silver and gold exploration and development assets located throughout North and South

America.

Mr. Krebs is a member of the Board of Directors of Coeur Mining and is a Director of the National Mining Association, where he serves on the Executive, Nominating and Audit & Finance Committees. Mr. Krebs also sits on the Board of Directors of Kansas City Southern (KSU: NYSE), a Fortune-500 transportation holding company that has railroad investments in the U.S., Mexico and Panama and sits on its Audit Committee and Finance Committee. He is the former President of the Silver Institute, the international organization of miners, refiners, fabricators and manufacturers, and serves on its Executive Committee. Mr. Krebs is on the Board of World Business Chicago, which leads the city's business retention, attraction and expansion efforts for economic growth and jobs. He also serves on the John G. Shedd Aquarium Society Board of Trustees and the Board of the Big Shoulders Fund.

Since becoming President and CEO in 2011, Mr. Krebs has led a significant restructuring of the Company and its assets. During his twenty-year tenure with Coeur, Mr. Krebs has led over $2 billion in capital market transactions and has facilitated over $2 billion of acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to becoming the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, he was its Chief Financial Officer. He also held various positions in the corporate development department, including Senior Vice President of Corporate

Development.

Mr. Krebs holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard University.
