Dan H. Arnold

Dan H. Arnold is the President and Chief Executive Officer of LPL Financial Holdings, a role he assumed in January 2017. In addition, he has been serving as president since March 2015, with responsibility for primary client-facing functions and long-term strategy for growth.

LPL Financial Holding serves the mediated advice marketplace as the nation's largest independent broker-dealer, a leading investment advisory firm, and a top custodian supporting nearly 20,000 financial advisors, including advisors at approximately 800 institution-based investment programs.

Earlier, Arnold was the chief financial officer of the company from June 2012 to March 2015. He was responsible for formulating financial policy, leading capital management efforts, and ensuring the effectiveness of the organization’s financial functions. He was earlier managing director and head of strategy with responsibility for long-term strategic planning for the firm.

Arnold joined LPL Financial Holding in January 2007 following its acquisition of UVEST Financial Services Group, Inc. He brought into the company his experience working with UVEST for 13 years, including as president and chief operating officer. 

Arnold has done his B.S. in electrical engineering from Auburn University and M.B.A. in finance from Georgia State University.
