Jim DeVries is President and CEO of ADT Security Services, Inc.(ADT) and joined the company in 2016 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining ADT, he spent nearly a decade at Allstate Insurance Company, serving as Executive Vice President of Operations as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, with responsibility for real estate and administration, human resources, and procurement. Jim has also held various executive and management roles at Principal Financial Group, Ameritech, Quaker Oats Company, and Andrew Corporation.
Jim DeVries is currently serving as the president of ADT Corp. and has previously also held the profile of chief operating officer at the firm. Prior to working for ADT Corporation, Jim has also worked in the capacity of EVP (Operations) and chief administrative officer at Allstate. Jim holds a master’s degree in business administration from the prestigious Kellogg School of Management – Northwestern University.
Currently, Jim serves on the boards of ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility services and solutions, and Amsted Industries Inc., a diversified global manufacturer of industrial components. He is a past board member of the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago, the Chicago Public Library Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity International University, a master’s degree from Loyola University, and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Jim DeVries is the Chief Operating Officer for ADT and is responsible for leading all sales, care and operational aspects of the company. He joined ADT in May 2016 from Allstate, where he was the Executive Vice President for Brand Operations. Before joining Allstate, he was Senior Vice President of Human Resources at the Principal Financial Groupand Vice President for Corporate Services and Human Resources at Ameritech’s Monitoring Services Division.Earlier in his career, he held management roles at Quaker Oats, Leaf and Andrew Corporation. He received a bachelor’s degree from Trinity College, a master’s degree from Loyola University, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
