Intel Corp (NASDAQ: INTC)announced on Tuesday that it has halted all business operations in Russia in the aftermath of its invasion of Ukraine.
“Intel continues to join the global community in condemning Russia’s war against Ukraine and calling for a swift return to peace. Effective immediately, we have suspended all business operations in Russia,” the US chipmaker said in a statement.
The firm last month suspended all shipments to clients in Russia and Belarus.
“We are working to support all of our employees through this difficult situation, including our 1,200 employees in Russia,” the company said.
The US chipmaker said it has established business continuity measures to minimize the impact on its worldwide operations.
Oracle Corp (NYSE: ORCL), Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL), International Business Machines (NYSE: IBM), and other major tech companies have also halted all Russian operations or shipments to put pressure on President Putin to stop the war against Ukraine.
