Ukraine's military claims that 31,250 Russian soldiers have been killed since the invasion began on February 24.
Russia also lost 1,386 tanks, 3,400 armored personnel vehicles, 690 artillery systems, 209 multiple-launch rocket systems, 551 cruise missiles, 96 air defense systems, 211 aircraft, 176 helicopters, and 13 ships and boats, according to the general staff of Ukraine's armed forces.
Russian troops suffered the most casualties in the Bakhmut direction.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that Russian forces have the numerical edge in the battle for Severodonetsk, but Kyiv's troops have "a chance" of fighting back and retaking the city from Moscow.
Furthermore, The UK Ministry of Defence said in its intelligence report that Russian missiles targeted rail infrastructure in Kyiv early on June 5, most likely in an attempt to block the flow of Western military weapons to frontline Ukrainian soldiers.
