The European Commission will convene on Friday to provide a hasty decision on whether to award Ukraine candidacy status.
The opinion will be discussed at the European Union meeting next week when leaders are likely to accept Ukraine's candidate status with tight criteria.
The meeting comes soon after French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi arrived in Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to convey the message of "European solidarity."
Although, the process of gaining EU membership might take several years.
France, Germany, Italy, and Romania support Ukraine in gaining "immediate" candidate status.
Earlier this month, Macron warned that Ukraine's accession to the EU would be a protracted process, instead advocating for a "European political community" available to non-EU members like Ukraine and the United Kingdom who want to contribute to European security, AL Jazeera reported.
