Britain imposed further trade sanctions against Russia on Thursday, said a statement posted on the government website.
The 'Notice to Exporters' included additional restrictions on the sale of a variety of commodities and technologies to Russia, as well as the shipment of jet fuel and sterling or EU-denominated banknotes.
The notice said that prohibitions on providing technical support, financial services, money, and brokering services in connection with iron and steel imports.
Import, purchase, supply, and delivery of revenue-generating items originating in or consigned from Russia (as well as associated technical support, financial services, money, and brokering services) are prohibited.
Some of the foregoing limitations will apply to Russia and non-government-held territory in Ukraine.
Since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February, the EU has imposed several packages of sanctions on Russia and Belarus, but many sectors, like gas, have remained mostly unaffected.
