G-7 leaders criticized a Russian missile attack on a crowded Ukrainian shopping center that killed innocent civilians.
The G7 leaders, who are gathering in Germany in a statement on Monday said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and those guilty for the assault will be held accountable.
“We, the Leaders of the G7, solemnly condemn the abominable attack on a shopping mall
in Kremenchuk,” the leaders wrote in a joint statement. “We stand united with Ukraine in mourning the innocent victims of this brutal attack.”
“Indiscriminate attacks on innocent civilians constitute a war crime.”
Meanwhile, Ukraine President Zelenskyy said the Russian strike at a shopping mall in Kremenchuk is one of the most "defiant terrorist attacks in European history."
“Today, we underlined our unwavering support for Ukraine in the face of the Russian
aggression, the G-7 leaders said.
“We will continue to provide financial, humanitarian as well as military support for Ukraine, for as long as it takes. We will not rest until Russia ends its cruel and senseless war on Ukraine.”
