The deadliest month of Russia's conflict in Ukraine, according to the High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations, was March.
According to data gathered by the UN, there were more than 3,100 civilian deaths and 2,400 injuries as a result of the violence in March.
The Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded 12,867 civilian casualties in Ukraine: 5,401 killed and 7,466 injured
The OHCHR said, “most of the civilian casualties recorded were caused by the use of explosive weapons with wide area effects, including shelling from heavy artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, missiles, and air strikes.”
Moreover, 7,254 people were killed in the Donetsk and Luhansk areas. There were 5,907 casualties in Ukraine-controlled territory
