Finland will reduce the number of visas granted to Russians from the current percentage to 10% starting on September 1.
According to Finnish foreign minister Pekka Haavisto, the decision was made as more and more Russian visitors started using Finland's Helsinki-Vantaa Airport as a stepping stone to go to other European countries.
“And this maybe is not very appropriate if we, for example, think of the airspace restrictions put in place for Russia,” Haavisto said.
