The Billerica, Massachusetts-based company said it had net income of 52 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 64 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 55 cents per share.
The scientific equipment maker posted revenue of $685.3 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $637.9 million.
Bruker expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.55 to $2.60 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.83 billion to $2.88 billion.
Bruker shares have risen 17% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 34% in the last 12 months.
