• Delta canceled over 200 flights while United had over 122 cancellations
Airlines canceled over 700 flights in the US on Monday due to bad weather and staff shortage in a high travel demand environment.
According to flight-tracking website Flightaware.com, total flight cancellations within, into, or out of the United States as of 1.07 p.m. ET were 747, reported Reuters.
Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) had over 200 cancellations, United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: UAL) had 122 flight cancellations while American Airlines Group Inc (NASDAQ: AAL) canceled 62 flights as of Monday afternoon.
Last week, United announced it will cut about 50 daily flights from Newark airport next month to control flight delays.
