Ukraine says around 38,000 Russian soldiers killed since the beginning of invasion
- Russian forces suffered the most casualties in the Mykolaiv region
Ukraine's army has killed 150 Russian military members in the last day, said the General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces.
According to the General Staff, this raises the total number of Russian servicemen who died since the invasion began on February 24 to 38,450.
Russia also lost 1,687 tanks, 3,886 armored personnel vehicles, 849 artillery systems, 220 aircraft, 188 helicopters, 248 PC3B, 690 UVA OTR, 113 air defense systems, 2753 motor transport & tank trucks,166 cruise missiles, 15 ships, and 70 special types of equipment, said the department.
The General Staff said the enemy sustained the most casualties in the past day in the Mykolaiv region.
Separately, the UK Ministry of defense said private military company Wagner has almost certainly played a central role in recent fighting, including the capture of Popasna and Lysychansk.
This fighting has inflicted heavy casualties on the group, the UK said.
