Ukraine strike 50 Russian ammunition depots using HIMARS
HIMARS has a greater range and is more accurate than Ukraine's previous Soviet-era artillery
Ukraine on Monday said that it had utilized US-made HIMARS rocket systems to strike 50 Russian munitions depots.
“This cuts their [Russia] logistical chains and takes away their ability to conduct active fighting and cover our armed forces with heavy shelling,” Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Oleksiy Reznikov said in televised comments.
Ukrainian officials have frequently said that Western weapons supplies are crucial to Ukraine's military effort and supporting Kyiv in stopping Russia's assault.
HIMARS has a greater range and is more accurate than Ukraine's previous Soviet-era artillery.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said If Ukraine gets long-range weaponry from Western nations, the geographical missions of Russian special operations would shift.
